Session 1:
|
Participants explore their ideas about human sexuality and the various skills and methods of presenting are examined. |
Session 2: |
Basic knowledge in the prevention of HIV/AIDS and other sexually transmitted diseases (STD) are made available. |
Session 3:
|
The many forms of child abuse are presented with participants being provided with skills needed in the recognition of abuse and the necessary protective techniques for children. The possibility of long term physical and psychological effects are also examined. |
Session 4:
|
Techniques and skills in the recognition of verbal, physical and psychological violence that occurs within, as well as outside of the home, are examined. Some emphasis is directed toward adolescents that are dating. |
Session 5:
|
Abuse of alcohol., tobacco and other drugs, legal and illegal, is examined. Alcohol, as a disease, is presented to show the devastating physical, mental, social and emotional effects it can have on the family and community at large. |
Session 6: |
Definitions and explanation of various forms of addiction are presented. Survey of the many treatment plans are examined leading to recovery possibilities. |
